I’ll listen to the Eye of The Tiger or Danger Zone to get my vibe. I need my caffeine fix and lotsa water

I love relaxing at home with my family in the evenings and on weekends.

💼 How would you describe your work to someone outside of your field?

Grof helps SME owners to streamline their business finances and free them from compliance duties, so they can focus on scaling their business.

🌟 What makes you so passionate about helping someone who's trying to grow their business?

Weng Leong pitched the idea of starting a business where we were able to put together our prior trainings in investing and accounting to good use.

We were in some side hustle together previously and we kinda know each other’s characters and train of thoughts.

Coming from my Accountant background, I experienced the power of software and how it has helped MNCs to manage their operations. In my opinion, SMEs will really get most help from the various software.

🏋️ What was your biggest challenge when you first started Grof?

Building a team from scratch has definitely been our biggest challenge. We're really passionate about our company culture, so finding and nurturing talent who can truly own their work and take initiative is essential for us.

🤝 Do you enjoy networking?

One of the things I love most about is the chance to meet new people.  Hearing their stories and learning how they approach business is always inspiring.  Plus, building those relationships is what it's all about!

🌐 Best encounter at a networking event?

Different types of networking events brings a different experience and allows me to connect with different set of business owners.The best encounter was bumping into an ex-colleague I’ve lost touch with for almost 20 years. We started in the same audit firm and he left to do his own things. I’m so glad to be reconnected with him and see how he’s doing well now.

💖 What's your favourite thing about Mole?

Organising insightful and valuable meet ups and events that bring a community of business owners closer together, sharing their vulnerabilities and hardships of running a business, making everyone feel included.
